Gregory N. Williams (K’aajuu G’aaya) is a Haida artist from Haida Gwaii, carrying forward the legacy of his Skedans Clan through contemporary art. Founder of Haida Ink in Skidegate, BC, Gregory offers a tattoo experience deeply rooted in Indigenous tradition.
With over ten years of professional tattoo experience, Gregory specializes in traditional Haida formline, black-and-grey realism, and both hand-poke and machine techniques. He is also an accomplished jeweller and artist, working with silver, gold, and copper, and has studied guitar building and inlay at the American School of Luthier.
Gregory views his art as more than a craft—it’s a bridge connecting culture, personal history, identity, and healing. He describes tattooing as “tattooing a part of a person’s soul into their skin, to be shared with the world.”
Through his work, Gregory learns more and more about different cultures. Honoring tradition while inviting contemporary techniques and expression.
